What to Expect
Welcome to Sts. Peter & Paul!
Visiting a new church can feel a little unfamiliar, especially if you've never been to a Catholic Mass before. We want you to feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you arrive.
If you're not sure what to do or what comes next, that's okay. Find a seat, follow along as you're comfortable and experience the Mass with us. There's no need to know everything ahead of time. Come as you are. We're glad you're here, and we hope you'll feel at home at Sts. Peter & Paul.
✦ Where do I sit?
Anywhere you'd like! Find a pew where you feel comfortable. You'll find hymnals in the pews to help you follow along with the music and prayers. If you're not sure when to sit, stand or kneel, don't worry; just follow along with those around you.
✦ What should I wear?
Come as you are. You'll see people dressed in everything from jeans and casual clothes to dresses and dress shirts. There's no dress code, but we encourage clothing that is respectful for Mass.
✦ Can I bring my kids?
Children are always welcome at Mass! We know little ones wiggle, whisper, make noise and sometimes just need a break. That's part of the joy of having families worship together, so please don't worry about keeping everyone perfectly quiet.
Need a little breathing room? Our cry room is located in the northeast corner of the church. It's enclosed and has a speaker, so you can still hear Mass while the wiggles and extra noise stay inside.

✦ What about Communion?
Catholics who are prepared to receive the Eucharist are invited to receive Holy Communion. If you are not Catholic or will not be receiving Communion, you are welcome to remain in your pew during Communion and join us in prayer.
✦ How long is Mass?
A typical weekend Mass is about one hour. Mass includes Scripture readings, a homily, prayers, music and the celebration of the Eucharist.
✦ Do I need to give?
During Mass, a collection is taken to support the life and mission of our parish. As a parish guest, there is no pressure to give; we're just glad you're here! But if you'd like to join in, you're certainly welcome to place a gift in the collection basket or give online.
